| On August 10th I put
Ground Control shoes on Image. This is one horse that I have
never had any hoof problems with. He has had less that a
dozen sets of front shoes on in his life and has never had back
shoes on. If it weren't for him occasionally getting
tender footed when we have to ride many miles on gravel, I would
never shoe him.
I liked that these shoes were clear. It made selecting
an appropriate place to nail easy. What wasn't easy was
getting the nail to pass through the plastic appropriately and
go where I wanted. Next time I use these shoes I will mark
where I want the nails and then make holes in the shoes before I
try to nail them on.
Here are pictures from the day I put the Ground Control shoes
on him.

Next is a picture of what the Ground Control shoes looked like
on November 6th after I pulled them. I didn't mean to
leave them on so long, but they showed very little wear and
weren't coming loose so it was easy to be bad and leave them on
too long. Other than the discoloration, some scrapes, and
some warpage, these shoes are still in very good condition and
can certainly be reset again.
